Lithuania Flag

€10,00

The flag of Lithuania is a horizontal tricolor consisting of yellow, green, and red stripes, from top to bottom. Each color has symbolic meaning tied to Lithuania’s national identity and natural landscape. The yellow represents the sun, light, and prosperity; green stands for the forests, nature, and hope; and red symbolizes the blood shed for freedom and the courage of the Lithuanian people. This flag was first adopted in 1918 when Lithuania declared independence from the Russian Empire. However, it was banned during the Soviet occupation and replaced with a Soviet-style flag. The original tricolor was restored in 1989, shortly before Lithuania officially regained its independence in 1990, becoming the first Soviet republic to do so. Today, the Lithuanian flag is a proud symbol of freedom, resilience, and national unity.
