The national flag of the Czech Republic is a distinctive symbol of the country’s history and identity. It consists of two horizontal bands of white on the top and red on the bottom, with a blue triangle extending from the hoist side toward the center. The colors—white, red, and blue—are traditional Pan-Slavic colors representing Slavic heritage and unity. White symbolizes peace and honesty, red stands for courage and valor, and blue represents vigilance, truth, and loyalty. The flag was originally adopted in 1920 when the country was part of Czechoslovakia, and it was retained by the Czech Republic after the peaceful split of Czechoslovakia in 1993. It remains a proud emblem of the nation’s culture and independence.
