Greece Flag

The national flag of Greece is known for its striking blue and white design, symbolizing the country’s rich history and natural beauty. It features nine horizontal stripes alternating between blue and white, representing the nine syllables of the Greek phrase “Ελευθερία ή Θάνατος” (Eleftheria i Thanatos), meaning “Freedom or Death,” which was a motto during the Greek War of Independence. In the top left corner, there is a blue square with a white cross, symbolizing Greek Orthodoxy, the country’s predominant religion.
