India Flag
The national flag of India, commonly known as the Tiranga (meaning "tricolor"), is a powerful symbol of the nation’s unity, freedom, and values. It consists of three horizontal stripes: saffron at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. At the center of the white band is a navy blue Ashoka Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel representing justice, progress, and the eternal cycle of life. Each color has its own significance—saffron symbolizes courage and sacrifice, white stands for peace and truth, and green represents faith, fertility, and the land's natural richness. The flag was officially adopted on July 22, 1947, shortly before India achieved independence, and it continues to serve as a proud emblem of the country's democratic ideals, cultural diversity, and national pride.
