Lebanon Flag

€10,00

The flag of Lebanon features a bold and symbolic design consisting of two horizontal red stripes at the top and bottom, separated by a wider white stripe in the center. In the middle of the white band stands a green cedar tree, known as the Cedar of Lebanon, which is a powerful national and historical symbol. The cedar represents eternity, peace, and resilience, and has deep roots in Lebanese culture and religious heritage, often mentioned in ancient texts including the Bible. The red stripes symbolize the sacrifice and blood of those who fought for Lebanon’s independence, while the white represents peace, purity, and the snow-capped peaks of Mount Lebanon. The flag was officially adopted on December 7, 1943, shortly before Lebanon gained independence from French rule. Its unique design and the prominent cedar tree set it apart among national flags, reflecting Lebanon’s identity, heritage, and enduring spirit.
